Purpose for Creating

Honestly, I enjoy people.  Whether talking to or drawing, people are intriguing. God has designed each of us so beautifully, and He knows every hair on our head. I am only capturing a poor reflection of His masterpiece.  Know that whether you believe it or not, He created all of you and loves you dearly...so much that He let His Son die on a cross that we may be with Him for eternity.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. - Psalm 139:14

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

    working with orphans in Latvia...


    This summer God has provided an amazing opportuntity for me to travel to Latvia, an Eastern European country.  I will be gone for the month of July working with various orphanages through an organization called Buckner.  This is definitely of God because I would not have chosen this, but He is better than any of my plans.  I will be leading a team of college students, managing the finances, and being the liason with the in-country staff there.  My first thought: those poor college students being led by me.  YIKES!  God will have to doing this work, not me...for I don't have the talents or skills for this.  But He covers all insufficiencies.

    And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, mY strength is made perfect in your weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmaties, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  - II Corinthians 12:9

    You may not have the time nor opportunity to travel to a place in need of love and grace.  However, by commissioning a portrait or merely donating, you are sending someone to be a light in dark places.  There are more than 143 million orphans in the world, and each of them are precious.  Those of us who are blessed to know love are called show love to those who have no one to love them.  Be apart of something bigger than yourself!

Prayer Support:

More than finances, even though it is a need, my team of students and I traveling to Latvia need prayer.  Here are somethings to pray for as of now:

  • God to teach us how to pray for this mission trip
  • Starting communication with team members
  • Getting prayer and financial support
  • The orphans in Latvia that will come in contact with, may they know the depth God's love for them
